Greeting

We will hold a hands-on seminar for professionals involved in rivers and dams to experience the flood simulation software DioVISTA/Flood. It will be held in 5 cities nationwide (Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Fukuoka, Takamatsu). We hope you will feel free to come to the venue near you.

As you are all aware, emergency measures for national resilience have begun, and the preparation of flood area maps for areas downstream of the dam have begun. On the other hand, the Work Style Reform Law has been enforced, and it is required to significantly shorten working hours while maintaining the quality of results. People involved in flood analysis have praised DioVISTA/Flood as effective in both improving productivity and standardizing business procedures.

In the seminar, you will experience operating DioVISTA/Flood and creating a flood area map. For actual rivers, you will actually import river channel data, edit ground height, set embankments and culverts, set breakage conditions, calculate flooding, prepare envelope maps, and prepare deliverables in accordance with the "Guidelines for Digitization of Flood Area Map Data (2nd Edition)".

The seminar in Tokyo will be held at Hitachi's Central Research Laboratory (Kyoso no Mori). The Hitachi Group is promoting a number of research projects to apply artificial intelligence (AI) to social infrastructure. In addition to introducing a part of this research, we have provided an opportunity to see the vast garden of the institute and the headwaters of the Nogawa River in the Tama River system.

We understand that you are busy, but we sincerely look forward to your participation.
