FAQ/ Meaning of Distance Markers for 3-Layer Model Parameters¶
Please tell me about the 3-layer model parameters of DioVISTA.
[rivers] > [property] > [Three-layer model parameters] > (dialog) [Three-layer model parameter setting] [Distance (m)] How is is used?
response¶
Example 1¶
If you want to set dm=0.45, beta=4, da=0.55, ka=0.01, n=0.3 for a distance marker of 100 m or more (to the upstream end), do the following: Km is calculated automatically.
Distance (m) | First layer thickness dm(m) | Layer 1 hydraulic conductivity km | beta (ka/km) | Second layer thickness da(m) | Layer 2 hydraulic conductivity ka | Third layer roughness factor |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
100 | 0.45 | 0.003 | 4 | 0.55 | 0.01 | 0.3 |
DioVISTA defines each layer as follows.
- Layer 1: Unsaturated layer
- Layer 2: Saturated layer
- Layer 3: Ground surface
Example 2¶
Set the value X for distance markers from 4000 to less than 5000 m,
If you want to set the value Y for a distance marker of 5000 m or more (to the upstream end), do the following:
Note that here we have set the value X and the value Y for the sake of explanation, but please give a specific number in practice.
Distance (m) | First layer thickness dm(m) | Layer 1 hydraulic conductivity km | beta (ka/km) | Second layer thickness da(m) | Layer 2 hydraulic conductivity ka | Third layer roughness factor |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
4000 | X | X | X | X | X | X |
5000 | Y | Y | Y | Y | Y | Y |
