FAQ/ Overtopping from other than the breach¶
When the maximum expected flow rate was given, a large-scale overflow occurred in the unrenovated section of the upstream part where the flow capacity was insufficient. As a result, the flow rate from the downstream breach point was very low. It may be true as a real phenomenon ...
Is it possible to prevent overflow from sources other than the designated breaks?
response¶
By setting a virtual wall in the overflow section, I think it is possible to make the desired operation.
In addition, for the virtual wall, you can set whether to return or not to return from the floodplain. [Allow reverse overflow in virtual wall sections] If the river data property = is set to [True] erect a virtual wall in the entire section, the flood flow will return to the river channel.
