FAQ/ Isoflow Calculation¶
Can DioVISTA also perform one-dimensional unequal flow calculations?
We are studying the analysis of flowing flooding.
The flow rate is not a time series, but only the peak flow rate based on a rational formula, and it is required to analyze it by one-dimensional unequal flow calculation.
So, I would like to use DioVISTA's flowing flood function.
I know that DioVISTA can perform one-dimensional irregular flow calculation, but can I also perform one-dimensional unequal flow calculation?
response¶
I can.

We often hear from engineers in practice that they want to use the most accurate, least labor-intensive, and least reworked method: the diffusion flood analysis method. He also said that it is not justifiable to adopt a flowing flood analysis method that is inaccurate, time-consuming, and may require repeated rework.
However, it is also true that there is a demand for flowing flood analysis. Downward flooding using one-dimensional unequal flow should be used in such cases.
