It's possible.

The flow from the river channel to the floodplain and vice versa can be simulated at the same time.

You can track the entry and exit of rivers and floodplains[rivers] by right-clicking and[Aggregation of overflow flow] clicking . For more information, please refer to the Technical Reference River Model - Export Function for Overflow.
