Hands-on Seminar (August & September 2025)

Event Report

We held three hands-on seminars: Hands-on Seminar Kyoto, Hands-on Seminar Fukuoka, and Hands-on Seminar Tokyo, from the end of August to the beginning of September 2025. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all participants for taking the time to attend. We will continue to plan seminars that will be useful to you, so please look forward to our future events.

Event Highlights

Hands-on Seminar Kyoto

Hands-on Seminar Fukuoka

Hands-on Seminar Tokyo

We received many valuable comments in the survey. We would like to share some of them below.

Hands-on Seminar Kyoto, Fukuoka, and Tokyo

  • This was my first time using DioVISTA/Dams. I still have much to learn, but the practical exercises with DioVISTA/Flood were very helpful and easy to understand.
  • I learned about detailed settings that I hadn't used before, and I want to try them out when I get back to the office.
  • Since I was able to experience it practically, I think I can consider better ways to use it after gaining more knowledge about flood analysis.
  • I felt that it is a very good product. The seminar was also very informative. ## 1. Hands-on Seminar in Kyoto, August 28

Program Details

1. DioVISTA/Flood Hands-on Exercise
Experience creating flood inundation maps using the flood simulation software "DioVISTA/Flood". Using an actual river as a case study, you will learn how to set calculation parameters, perform simulation calculations, and create deliverables that comply with the "Guidelines for Digitalization of Flood Hazard Area Map Data (Version 4)."

2. DioVISTA/Flood API Workshop This workshop will introduce the "DioVISTA/Flood" flood simulation software and demonstrate how to create discharge capacity tables. It will also cover the "DioVIDTA/Flood API," which is useful for performing calculations quickly using cloud computing. Participants will experience using the API during the workshop.

3. DioVISTA/Dams Workshop This workshop will introduce the dam operation support solution "DioVISTA/Dams" and provide hands-on training. Participants will use "DioVISTA/Dams" to create a flood control operation plan for an actual dam in a river basin, and then use "DioVISTA/Flood" to verify the downstream conditions after the release of water.

4. Questionnaire and Q&A Please complete the questionnaire regarding this seminar. During the Q&A session, feel free to ask any questions or share your feedback about the DioVISTA products. ## 2. Hands-on Seminar in Fukuoka, September 1
